Understanding Bill No 193: Reforming Inheritance Laws in India
Government of India has proposed to delete Sec 213 from Indian Succession Act 1925. It was learnet that Probate is optional for all others except Hindus,Jain,Sikh and Baudh. To have parity under Constitution it was proposed in 2008 by 209th Law Commission to delete the said provision. Present Government is now implementing the same.
